240sx build 300zx kat build!

Postby Future_gohan on Thu Mar 26, 2009 12:03 am

So, I don't have that hatch anymore so i figured i'd update this a little.

Everyone knows I drive brad's old vert:

Image
using my old windshield. lol

Image
I like the stance it has, need to raise the rear a tad. but no time.

This winter i'm working on my new s14, which was given to me by j3 performance.

Image

Currently completely stripped of everything. Getting ready for cage work.

And, for a daily, I'm again choosing a 300zx, and sense my old one just got totaled, I have this one now to tinker with.

Plans are to here soon get a stock ka installed and wired, welded s14 differential, and some super plans for suspension that nobody has done before with 300zx's.

I'll have pictures of that eventually here as time goes on and stuff actually happens. But heres my inspiration.
Image

The ka will be turbo'd down the road, I want a ka in there first and run it so I know everything is wired correctly, then swap in a fresh rebuilt(oem) with a bottom mount t25 370cc injectors at around 10psi.

Just too have a decent daily, it'll shave some weight, The suspension work will shave some weight, and it should slide nicely aswell.

We will see in due time, my s14 is more important aftermarket wise, so i have to get started on that soon.

Is that T25 new? If it ever needs a rebuild or an upgrade, send it to miketurbo.com. They rebuilt mine with T28 Garret internals for around $450 with shipping both ways. Good lookin build though.

No, not brand new, but when i received it I was shocked in the condition, and no play at all in the shafts, totally free. I can't wait to run it.

I'm hoping to have the car running and on the track by june, when i get out of school, with at least two solid months of racing and learning how to drift.

I plan on taking this car, weld the diff, and buy a bunch of tires, other then that what do you guys suggest? I don't really know where to go to practice and learn how to drift like..by my self? any ideas..

Where are you located? I found some sweet parking lots down in North Versailles area that I was going to check out. There is a couple of decent places near Delmont too. There is a church parking lot that is perfect for getting the basics down in.

But I decided to clean my shed out(aka my 240sx domain) and clean some of the body parts and start putting the ka24det back together. It needs to be done soon!

No idea!

I wanted to just get a jwt. But I hear many bad things.....And then I thought maybe emanage ultimate..

But I have no idea how to use it. And I don't want an emance. Not worthy enough.
So I'm trying to find a shop to tune it for me..My dads friend knows a place that tunes like Hondas and stuff, I'm like...wow Hondas are cool. -_-'

So I'm not sure.

Anyone know anyplaces in PA that tune Ka-ts?

now ive heard they are or were moving again and dunno if thats their current location..

Actually they *were* in Latrobe for about 6 months or so. It's about 20 minutes from Youngwood, PA. They have since moved to Derry, PA, about 10 minutes from Latrobe. I haven't been to the new shop yet, so I don't have the address.

Derry is pretty small though. I think I might know where it is. I'll have to cruise by on my way home from work some day and check it out.

So today was an off day, nothing wanted to come out right, even the ka was giving me problems. ugh

But I got the engine tranny and drive shaft out, but in the process I banged up the top of the core support, but no real damage, I'm just a freak when it comes to that so I'm kinda upset I gotta hammer it straight..

I also ordered my PaDrift stickers, and I ordered a cat back exhaust and a test pipe. haha

So here's some pictures, as of now tomorrow its going to the frame shop, which we stopped over today and he said he'll start on it like Tuesday or Wednesday, because hes kinda behind. which I don't mind I guess, gives me time to just relax.
